Adhwan Al-Ahmari

Editor-in-Chief and Chairman of the Saudi Journalists Association

Adwan Mohammed Al-Ahmari is a Saudi writer and journalist, editor-in-chief of Independent Arabia since January 2019, chairman of the Saudi Journalists Association board since January 2024, and president of the West Asia Journalists Union since 2025. He began in journalism in 2002 at Al-Watan before working at Al-Hayat and Asharq Al-Awsat. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from King Saud University and a master's in digital media from New York University, and presents the programme Al-Madar on Asharq News. Independent Arabia is the Arabic edition of Britain's The Independent, published in partnership with the Saudi Research and Media Group.
