Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is the Saudi government body responsible for environmental protection, water resource management, agricultural development and food security. It sets the policies, regulations and strategies for the environment, water and agriculture sectors and oversees their implementation with partner entities, supporting the sustainable use of natural resources and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The Ministry works through specialised agencies and regional branches across the Kingdom, delivers its e-services through the Naama portal, and runs awareness programmes including the Water Awareness Programme and the Zarqa initiative. The Ministry hosts the 11th World Water Forum in Riyadh in March 2027 and co-organises it with the World Water Council as host and lead organiser.
