MEPRA - Middle East Public Relations Association

The Middle East Public Relations Association (MEPRA) is a non-profit professional body founded in the United Arab Emirates in 2001 to set high standards for the public relations and communication industry in the Middle East. It acts as the voice of the profession in the region, raising awareness of the role of public relations in building corporate reputation, sharing knowledge, encouraging thought leadership and building the capabilities of practitioners. MEPRA is governed by an elected Executive Board that changes every two years, supported by a Strategy Board of leaders from government and the private sector. Its members include consultants, independent professionals, trainers, students, academics, agencies and corporate organisations. The association runs an annual awards programme that recognises creative and innovative work in communication and public relations, the MEPRA Fellowship as its highest level of professional membership, MEPRA Academy for training in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, and annual leadership majlis events in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other markets of the region.
