Digital Government Authority

The Digital Government Authority (DGA) is the competent authority for everything related to digital government in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the national reference in its affairs. It was established by Cabinet Resolution No. 418 on 25 Rajab 1442 AH, corresponding to 9 March 2021, to regulate digital government activities in government entities, with the aim of achieving a proactive digital government that delivers highly efficient digital services and integrates government entities. The Authority measures the performance and capabilities of government entities in digital government in order to achieve beneficiary satisfaction. Its strategic directions follow two phases: first, building the digital government of the future by accelerating growth and applying governance and regulation; second, achieving excellence in digital government services and global leadership in international indicators. Its vision is to place the Kingdom among the ten leading digital governments in the world, adopt advanced digital technologies in government entities, and provide beneficiary-centred services. Its Innovation and Emerging Technologies Center runs government innovation programs, including the Innovation Challenge Accelerator.
