The Security and History Dialogue 2026 conference, organized by the Ministry of Interior, opened in Riyadh on September 6 under the patronage of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, Minister of Interior, and runs until September 8. The event, themed “Our History and Our Future.. Security and Prosperity,” brings together more than 160 speakers from Saudi Arabia and abroad, alongside over 65 dialogue sessions and interactive meetings featuring more than 30 participating entities, with expectations of welcoming over 5,000 visitors.
The conference serves as a national platform for intellectual and historical dialogue, exploring Saudi Arabia’s journey in security and development, and examining the state’s experience and transformations across political, economic, social, cultural, and institutional dimensions. Distinguished attendees include Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal, Governor of Qassim Region; Princess Loulwa Al-Faisal, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at Effat University; Jassim Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council; and several former ministers and senior officials, alongside experts and academics.
The program is structured around two parallel tracks: the “Dialogue Platform” and the “Security and History Theater,” featuring sessions on topics such as the roots of the Saudi state, the legacy of King Abdulaziz, security and investment, national identity, and the care of the Two Holy Mosques. The second day addresses digital national awareness, Saudi Arabia’s regional and global role in security, and the future of security capabilities, while the third day focuses on the role of women and family in building a secure society, cultural heritage, and media’s role in enhancing awareness.
Complementing the sessions, the “Security Path” experience offers visitors an interactive journey through over 300 years of Saudi security history, from the founding era to modern security systems and technologies. The conference is supported by the King Abdulaziz Foundation (Darah) as the main partner, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City as the strategic partner, and pioneers partners including Taq Academy and the Saudi Company for Comprehensive Technical and Security Control (Tahakum).
