The Saudi Tourism Authority closed its presence at the inaugural edition of WTM Spotlight Riyadh, where it represented the Kingdom through the official tourism brand «Saudi Spirit», following three days that brought together government bodies, commercial partners, international buyers, sector leaders and media representatives under one roof to expand cooperation and open new avenues for tourism growth.
Its pavilion drew steady footfall from attendees, with displays covering the country's heritage and cultural landmarks alongside coastal and natural destinations, hospitality offerings, entertainment and adventure products, while a series of meetings and networking sessions connected local partners with their international counterparts and laid groundwork for fresh commercial relationships.
On the sidelines, the authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Musafir activities app to link it to the authority's partner portal, a step aimed at tightening integration among partners and sustaining cooperation across travel, tourism and hospitality.
«The inaugural edition of WTM Spotlight Riyadh brought the international travel sector together with Saudi companies, reflecting the growing role of Saudi tourism in shaping regional travel movement», said Abdullah Al-Dakhil, the authority's official spokesperson, adding that the three days were spent building new relationships and strengthening partnerships while showcasing the diversity of the Kingdom's destinations.
The event, part of WTM Spotlight Riyadh 2026, provided a platform for buyers, exhibitors and industry figures to exchange commercial opportunities and to highlight the sector's expansion in the Kingdom, supported by growing infrastructure and a widening range of tourism products that reinforce its standing on the global tourism map.
