Saudi Motorsport, the strategic partner for motorsport in the Kingdom, took part in LEAP 2026, which runs in Riyadh until September 3. The company's pavilion showcased the evolution of the Saudi motorsport sector and its connection to technology and innovation.
Engineer Mansour Al-Muqbil, CEO of Saudi Motorsport and acting CEO of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, joined a panel discussion titled "Building a Nation for Motorsport: From Within the Kingdom's Integrated Sports Ecosystem." He outlined the country's approach to developing a comprehensive motorsport framework that goes beyond hosting global championships, focusing on talent development and building national capabilities.
Al-Muqbil emphasized that the future of motorsport in Saudi Arabia is shaped not only by drivers on the track but also by national talent in technical, operational, and organizational fields. He said: "Our focus is on building an integrated system to develop these competencies and provide opportunities for them to gain experience and transfer knowledge." He also noted that technology and innovation are key pillars in this system.
Visitors to the Saudi Grand Prix pavilion could explore the race's journey since its first edition in 2021 through interactive experiences inspired by Formula 1, and purchase tickets for the 2027 edition on site. The race takes place on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, the fastest street circuit in the world with average speeds exceeding 250 km/h.
The presence of Saudi Motorsport at LEAP 2026 reflects the growth of the sector and its increasing ties to technology, innovation, and talent development, supporting the goals of Vision 2030 and the Kingdom's position as a global destination for motorsport.
