At LEAP 2026, the Saudi Ministry of Media launched its unified sectoral platform "Ealam" (Ealam.sa), consolidating 22 existing platforms into a single digital gateway. The initiative aims to simplify user journeys, enhance service efficiency, strengthen cybersecurity, and ensure operational sustainability.
The ministry's participation in the fifth edition of LEAP, held under the theme "Into New Worlds" at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, focuses on digital transformation, developing media services, and fostering technical partnerships. The launch was attended by Deputy Minister of Media Dr. Abdullah Al-Maghlouth and other senior officials.
Al-Maghlouth emphasized that true innovation sometimes means removing what is no longer necessary, noting that the platform was developed entirely by Saudi national talents from the ministry in just 75 days. The platform integrates services from the Ministry of Media, Saudi Press Agency, General Commission for Audiovisual Media, and Broadcasting Authority into one unified digital experience.
In recognition of its efforts, the ministry was honored by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) as one of 62 government entities for successfully integrating its services into the national Tawakkalna app. Additionally, the ministry signed a framework agreement with Mobily and a memorandum of understanding with Nutanix Middle East and North Africa to support digital transformation and enhance technical infrastructure.
