The International Desalination and Reuse Association (IDRA), together with the host of its World Congress, the Saudi Water Authority (SWA), has announced that the IDRA World Congress will now be held from 24 to 28 January 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, instead of its previously scheduled dates of 1–5 November 2026.
The gathering is designed to bring the global water community together around a shared agenda: strengthening international collaboration, exchanging best practices in regulation and project financing, showcasing breakthrough innovations, and advancing sustainable water solutions through desalination and water reuse. In a statement carried by the association, IDRA extended its appreciation to the Saudi Water Authority for its continued partnership and support in organizing the Congress.
The event will be held under the theme «Driving Global Water Sustainability Through Innovation», convening leaders, regulators, utilities, industry experts, researchers, and innovators to advance water security, technological progress, and sustainable water management worldwide.
Registration for the Congress is now open, and IDRA has invited the global water community to join the gathering in Riyadh between 24 and 28 January 2027, describing it as an opportunity to help shape the future of water sustainability. Further details and registration are available through the Congress website.
