The sixth edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition began its proceedings on Sunday at Jeddah Superdome, drawing more than 520 entities from the government, private and non-profit sectors, according to the Saudi Press Agency. The participating pavilions lay out services and solutions spanning transportation, accommodation, catering, healthcare and technology, offering visitors a view of the preparations that are set in motion months before pilgrims reach the Kingdom.
Behind every bus seat, residence and meal along the rituals lies a chain of plans, contracts and arrangements distributed among specialised bodies. The exhibition opens a window on that pre-arrival journey, where travel, aviation, housing, food and medical care meet with the sectors of facility readiness, communications, technology and training, forming interlocking links whose effect reaches the various stages of Hajj. Organising a pilgrim's movement is tied to arrival and residence arrangements, facility preparation is linked to operating and safety needs, while clear information and digital services help the visitor find the right service and follow the steps of the journey.
The gathering gives participating entities room to learn about one another's requirements and to explore cooperation, with a business centre set aside for professional meetings, the completion of contracts and the signing of agreements, which supports turning early coordination into practical arrangements for the coming season. Innovation and technology areas bring together innovators and service providers, connecting proposed solutions with the real challenges of the pilgrim journey, alongside training and qualification programmes that raise the readiness of workers and their capacity to deliver service.
«The arrangements that the pilgrim sees only in their comfort and safety are the product of months of work across many specialisations,» the agency reported, describing how the integrated picture on display reflects a preparation cycle that extends well beyond the days of the rituals themselves.
The event runs at Hajj Conference and Exhibition 2026 through 11 November, organised by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
