Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy has announced the launch of the first edition of the Energy Hackathon, scheduled to take place from October 7 to 9, 2026, in Riyadh, as part of the Human Capability Development Program's initiatives to foster innovation and digital transformation in the energy sector.
The hackathon aims to attract developers, engineers, and innovators to propose creative solutions to challenges facing the energy industry, including efficiency, sustainability, and the integration of renewable sources, thereby supporting the Kingdom's strategic goals under Vision 2030.
According to the announcement, the event will provide a platform for participants to collaborate with experts and mentors, access real-world data, and compete for prizes that could help turn their ideas into viable projects, contributing to the development of a knowledge-based economy.
