Buraydah Dates City

Dates City is a permanent site south of Buraydah on King Abdulaziz Road in the Al-Qassim region, dedicated to the dates trade and the events around it. Its sections take in the open auction square where farmers' trucks line up with their loads every dawn, Al-Nakhla Center, the main building that receives delegations, exhibitions and forums, the events tent plaza, and Al-Ha'it Mall. It hosts the seasonal Buraydah dates market, described as the largest in the world by volume on display, with more than thirty varieties offered. Through the season the site runs from five in the morning until eleven at night, and the auctions start right after the dawn prayer. It is reached by car along King Abdulaziz Road, with parking areas near the entrances.
