Selene Giupponi is Managing Director for Europe at Resecurity, the United States cybersecurity firm specialising in threat intelligence, dark web investigations and endpoint protection, a role she has held since her appointment was announced in October 2019. She is a digital forensics specialist who has served since 2008 as a court-appointed expert witness and technical assessor in Italian civil and criminal proceedings on digital and mobile forensics, working cases for clients ranging from government agencies to Fortune 500 companies. She is a specialised information technology trainer, teaching digital, mobile, cloud and mainframe forensics as well as cybercrime and information security at Italian universities, defence ministries and law enforcement agencies. She holds a degree in computer engineering from Sapienza University of Rome and completed post-graduate specialisation in computer forensics and digital investigations associated with the University of Camerino and the Italian Postal and Communications Police. She is a founding member of the European Cyber Security Organisation, a council member of the Women4Cyber Foundation since December 2020, and a founding member and secretary general of the Women4Cyber Italy chapter. In April 2023 Resecurity announced she had received an award recognising her work in digital forensics, and she is listed as a researcher on the European Commission's European Cybersecurity Atlas.
