Salamah ALDhafiri
Sustainability & Environment Protection Director
Salamah ALDhafiri holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Kuwait University and has more than 20 years of experience across several organisations. He holds the NEBOSH International Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and is a certified Radiation Safety Officer from the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy. He began his career in 1999 as a chemist at the Arabian Oil Company, moved to the Royal Commission for Jubail in 2000, and joined SABIC in 2008 to work in the environment, health and safety field, working closely with government bodies, third parties and manufacturing teams. In 2010 he joined Sahara Petrochemical Company as EHS Manager, where over five years he established an EHS management system and cleared environmental regulatory non-compliance, representing the company at association and government events and leading several initiatives. In 2015 he took up his current role as Sustainability and Environment Protection Director at Sadara, working to sustain operations at the world's largest chemical complex built in a single phase while meeting government requirements and applying best available design.
