Engineering Specialist

Qasem Fandem is an Engineering Specialist with 20 years of experience at Saudi Aramco in project inspection, vendor inspection, facility operations, corrosion control and project design. He has held managerial positions including Quality Manager for Aramco Asia's China office and Head of Inspection Technology at Engineering Services. He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and an MSc in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of South Florida, along with ten professional certifications including API 570, API 510, API 653, API 936, API 577, CSWIP 3.1, NACE coatings, ISO 9001, Six Sigma and TapRooT. He received the 2023 Quality Manager Excellence Award from the Saudi Quality Council for contributions including six patents, 20 published papers, the deployment of new inspection technology and the creation of quality performance indices, and was honoured with the 2025 Hromi Medal from the American Society for Quality.
