Mohammad Nazmul Hossain is a consultant urologist practising in the United Kingdom's National Health Service, currently in a locum consultant post with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest NHS teaching trusts, which runs the John Radcliffe, Churchill and Horton General hospitals and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre with roughly 16,300 staff. He qualified MBBS and holds the MRCS and the FRCS in urology, and his practice covers general, endoscopic and laparoscopic urology. Alongside clinical work he is occupied with digital health and the use of artificial intelligence in clinical workflows, and he has founded health technology ventures. He writes on streamlining urology services, including BRCA screening pathways, workflows led by clinical nurse specialists and AI-assisted triage in outpatient urology clinics, as well as endoscopic techniques such as urethroscopy performed with a semirigid ureteroscope. He is chairman of Pacemaker Royal Medical Academy, founded in 2013 in Uttara by a group of young doctors, which runs courses in ultrasound, endoscopy, MRCS preparation and urology.
