Materials & Corrosion Engineer
Mohamed Azzam is a metallurgical engineer with over 13 years of expertise in failure analysis, corrosion management, material selection and risk-based inspection under API 580, as well as participation in HAZOP studies and the use of corrosion evaluation software. His work covers materials selection for oil and gas production systems and processing facilities, inspection of tanks and piping, fitness-for-service assessment under DNV RP-F101, API 579 and ASME B31G, pigging activities, in-line inspection, in-service welding and hot tapping. He currently works as a materials and corrosion engineer at a SABIC affiliate, and holds MSc and PhD degrees in metallurgical engineering.
