Majed Al-Argoubi

Chief Executive Officer

Majed Al-Argoubi has been chief executive officer of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) since December 2022, with more than 25 years of experience across executive management, capital projects, infrastructure, logistic services and public-private partnerships. He holds a bachelor's degree with honours in mechanical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and a master's degree with honours in business administration from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology. He began his career as an engineer at Saudi Aramco between 2002 and 2012, then served as projects director at the Saudi Binladin Group until 2016, as deputy minister for roads at the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services between 2016 and 2018, and as director general of Jeddah Islamic Port between 2019 and 2022, where the port's operational efficiency ranking rose from 53rd to eighth worldwide and container terminal concessions worth more than nine billion riyals were concluded. He has also served on several councils and committees, among them the Jeddah Port Advisory Council between 2020 and 2022.
