Kevin Kane

Kevin Kane is co-founder and chief executive of American Binary, a post-quantum cryptography and quantum-safe networking company he established in 2019. Under his leadership the company developed Ambit Client, a post-quantum encrypted VPN and network protocol aligned with the United States National Security Agency's CNSA 2.0 standards and built on lattice-based cryptographic constructions designed to resist attack by quantum computers. American Binary was named in a 2024 Booz Allen Hamilton report on emerging defence technologies, was integrated into the Oracle Defense Ecosystem in 2025, and subsequently partnered with Oracle to deliver its quantum-resistant VPN on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. A US Army veteran, he previously founded Claro Automata, a semantic-analysis artificial intelligence firm, and Jumpgate Technologies, a machine-learning-driven hedge fund. He holds a BA in political science from Georgia State University and an MA in international studies from the Seoul National University Graduate School of International Studies, and writes and speaks on quantum computing, cybersecurity, national security and cryptography. Cryptography pioneer Whitfield Diffie has joined the company's advisory board.
