Dr Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Muhanna is an energy affairs advisor and researcher who spent many years as an advisor at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, following Saudi oil policy and its relationship with global energy markets and OPEC from within. He has written studies on the history of the oil industry, price volatility, production decisions and their effect on the international economy, including work documenting the Kingdom's experience in managing its hydrocarbon resources. His readings are widely cited in debate on energy security and the energy transition.
