Dr. Shane Rooney leads the GSMA IoT Community, overseeing IoT strategies across global industry verticals and ecosystems. He pioneered Cellular LPWA Network deployments worldwide including NB-IoT and LTE-M, led GSMA Smart Cities initiatives, and served as Group Vice President at Etisalat. He holds a PhD in Communications Systems specialising in location-based services.
