Dr Muhammad Sarfraz Ali has over 20 years of experience in structural integrity, specialising in fitness-for-service and engineering critical assessment. Following his PhD in materials fatigue, he spent nearly two decades as a technical consultant in the United Kingdom with organisations including TWI and QinetiQ. His experience covers integrity, safety, risk and fitness-for-service assessments of critical structures across the oil and gas, marine, renewables, transportation, construction and submarine sectors. He has supported major oil and gas operators across the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States on complex integrity challenges including pipeline safety in aggressive service environments, and has served as an expert witness in disputes involving structural integrity and safety. He currently works as a fitness-for-service and asset integrity specialist in Saudi Arabia.
