Dr Mohamed Attia is a Principal Consultant with over three decades of experience in reliability engineering, integrity management and risk analytics across the chemical, petrochemical and oil and gas industries. He has led global operators in the transition from reactive to proactive asset management, extending asset lifecycles and optimising capital expenditure. He spearheaded the establishment of risk-based inspection frameworks at Saudi Aramco, optimising maintenance strategies to reduce cost and improve plant safety, and served as Chairman of the Inspection Engineering Standards Committee, directing the development of technical standards for inspection methodologies and non-destructive testing criteria. He has published over 110 technical papers and serves as a referee for peer-reviewed journals, and continues to advise industry leaders on using data analytics and emerging technologies to implement sustainable reliability frameworks.
