Machine Learning Head

Deemah Alabdulaali heads machine learning at Lean Business Services, the Saudi digital health company that operates national health data platforms and applies artificial intelligence, big data analytics and machine learning to care delivery and operational efficiency. She has more than seven years of experience across machine learning, software development and data analysis, and specialises in machine learning and natural language processing. She holds a bachelor's degree in information systems from King Saud University and a nanodegree in machine learning, and has worked on several national artificial intelligence and machine learning projects. Working within the company's data services sector in Riyadh, she has co-authored peer reviewed research applying machine learning to population health in Saudi Arabia, including a study in Expert Review of Endocrinology and Metabolism that compared a newly developed machine learning model with the validated American Diabetes Association risk assessment for identifying people at high risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus, a condition that remains widely undiagnosed in the Kingdom. She has also presented publicly on digital twins and their predictive use in healthcare, at Lean Talks during LEAP 2025.
