Abdulrahman Al-Samari
Chief Executive Officer
A Saudi executive who has served as the first Chief Executive Officer of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority since his appointment in March 2020, following the royal order establishing the authority in December 2018. He holds a bachelor's degree in management information systems and an MBA, both from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He began his career at Saudi Aramco in 2004 as an analyst in data processing systems and later in planning, accounting and business systems within Northern Area Oil Operations, moved to Accenture as a strategy manager in 2012, served as adviser to the Minister of Economy and Planning in 2016, and between January 2017 and December 2018 was Vice President and Managing Director of the Local Content and Private Sector Development Unit (Namaa). His experience spans oil and gas, strategic consulting, supply chain development and financial and operational planning. He sits on the authority's board and has been a board member of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property since 2022.
