Saudi Media Forum

The Saudi Media Forum is a national and international media platform held annually in Riyadh. It was founded in 2019 to answer the need for a large national podium matching the Kingdom’s political and economic weight and widening its exchange with media practice at home and abroad, and it is chaired by Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Harthi. Each edition gathers media leaders, decision makers, experts and academics around a scientific programme of panel sessions and workshops, alongside the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), which showcases broadcasting, production and distribution solutions together with artificial intelligence and extended reality technologies, and the Saudi Media Award, which recognises excellence and innovation across several tracks. The forum also runs year-round initiatives including Media Ambassadors, the Media Innovation Camp and the Production Market, as well as the ethical principles document for the use of artificial intelligence in media, launched in partnership with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority. Its stated mission is to highlight the Kingdom’s media leadership globally, support innovation in the media industry and build strategic local and international partnerships in service of Saudi Vision 2030.
