King Saud University Medical City (KSUMC)

King Saud University Medical City (KSUMC) is a health and academic complex in Riyadh that brings together three university hospitals and ten specialised medical centres. Its hospitals are King Abdulaziz University Hospital, the first teaching hospital established in Saudi Arabia; King Khalid University Hospital; and the University Dental Hospital, the first fully integrated dental teaching hospital in the Kingdom.

Its centres include the King Fahad Cardiac Centre, the Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Centre for Medical Research, the University Oncology Centre, the King Abdullah Ear Specialist Centre, the Health Simulation and Skills Centre, the University Sleep Medicine and Research Centre, the Centre of Excellence in Sports Medicine, the University Diabetes Centre, the University Family Medicine Centre and Hayat Centre. In 2025 KSUMC recorded 668,541 outpatient visits, 206,916 emergency visits, 72,126 admissions and 25,310 surgical operations.

Its accreditations include a Guinness World Records entry as the largest dental hospital in the world, HIMSS EMRAM Stage 7, Canadian accreditation and Nursing Excellence accreditation. Its Executive Department of Information Technology and Digital Transformation runs the digital health innovation programme through the platform healthon-ksumc.ksu.edu.sa, including the Healthon hackathon and the MedInnovation design thinking bootcamp. The first Healthon edition drew more than 1,320 healthcare professionals, technologists, innovators and researchers.
