International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE)

The International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE) is a UNESCO Category 2 centre based in Riyadh, established on the initiative of Saudi Arabia through SDAIA. It works across four pillars: AI research and development support, AI ethics awareness and outreach, AI capability building, and AI policy recommendations. Its initiatives include the International AI Olympiad (IAIO), Elevate Women in AI, THAKAI, and the UNESCO RAM workshop series. ICAIRE co-organizes the 4th UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of AI in Riyadh, 2026.
