The International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026 is running from 1 to 10 October at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh, under the theme 'A Destination for Everyone', bringing together falconry, hunting, desert trips and cultural experiences in a single programme. The exhibition is organised by the National Center for Falcons, and for the second consecutive year it dedicates a zone to Mongolian falcons, a category that has drawn growing interest among falconers in the Kingdom and the wider region.
Within that zone, the Mongolian falcon auction opened its first night with two birds sold for a combined SAR 550,000 amid competitive bidding among falconers. Bidding on the first bird, a young free falcon, settled at SAR 150,000, while the second, an adult free falcon, climbed from an opening SAR 100,000 to SAR 400,000 by the close of sale.
The dedicated area hosts falcons arriving from Mongolia, foremost among them the Mongolian free falcon, known for its large size, long wingspan, endurance and varied plumage colours. The auction allows visitors to inspect the birds and bid on them directly, reflecting the international reach of falconry and the interest it draws across cultures.
The exhibition's programme combines falconry and hunting with travel and cultural experiences, positioning the event as a meeting point for enthusiasts, breeders and visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom. The Mongolian falcon auction is one of several activities unfolding across the ten-day run, alongside daily shows and interactive experiences designed for a broad audience.
