Security Regiments Agency Displays Backscatter X-Ray Device at Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026

The Security Regiments Agency of the Ministry of Interior is showcasing a Backscatter X-Ray device to visitors at the ministry's pavilion within the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026, according to the Saudi Press Agency, which reported the display on Monday. The device stands among the technical tools the agency relies on to support its field operations across its areas of deployment, where such equipment contributes to strengthening operational capabilities and raising readiness and efficiency levels.

The agency's mission centers on securing vital and sensitive sites, conducting patrols and rapid intervention, and handling field tasks that demand constant readiness, which makes the tools it puts on display a direct reflection of how its units work on the ground rather than a standalone exhibit. The backscatter X-ray device works by directing low-energy X-ray beams at a surface and measuring the radiation scattered back toward the scanner, a mechanism that allows it to inspect objects and materials from one side without requiring access to both faces of the target, unlike conventional transmission systems that need a source on one end and a detector on the other. That property makes the technology suited to field conditions where space is limited and speed matters.

The display comes within the ministry's pavilion, which gathers several security and service agencies under one roof during the exhibition's run in Riyadh, giving visitors a close look at the equipment those agencies use in their daily work. The exhibition, organized by the Saudi Falcons Club, is being held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Mulham and continues through October 10, with a program that combines falconry auctions, heritage displays, shooting ranges and live experiences alongside the participating government and private pavilions.

Presenting the device to the public fits the broader pattern of this year's edition, where security and environmental agencies have used their stands to explain the technologies behind their operations, from thermal monitoring systems to smart patrols and AI-assisted cameras. For the Security Regiments Agency, the exhibit serves as a window onto the equipment that underpins its field missions and the level of readiness it maintains across its areas of responsibility.
