The third edition of the International Facility Management Conference and Exhibition (SFMA EXPO 2026) opens in Riyadh on September 20, running through September 22 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center under the theme “Smart Facilities.. Smart Cities,” with the patronage of Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail.
Organized by the Saudi Facility Management Association, the three-day gathering brings together more than 225 entities alongside over 200 local and international speakers, with more than 120 workshops addressing specialized topics in facility management, modern technologies, operations and maintenance solutions, and sustainability, and their role in raising facility efficiency and advancing the transition toward smart cities.
The program covers technology and digital transformation, digital twins and predictive maintenance, sustainability and environmental, social and governance practices, operations and maintenance, workplace strategies and hybrid offices, project and financial management, and leadership and strategy, in addition to building occupant health and well-being. An accompanying international exhibition features government bodies, companies, and specialized service and technology providers showcasing modern sector solutions and practices, alongside an innovation zone and dedicated workshops.
The conference convenes amid sustained growth in the Kingdom’s facility management sector, whose market size exceeded SAR 180 billion in 2024, with annual growth projected to surpass 7% through 2030, driven by the expansion of smart city and major projects and rising demand for operations, maintenance, and asset and facility management solutions.
“This edition represents a new milestone in the sector’s development journey, with a focus on employing data and artificial intelligence to raise facility efficiency, supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives of building smarter and more sustainable cities,” said Eng.
