Prince Fahd bin Jalawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Camel Racing Federation, crowned the champions of the “Al-Liqaya” category on the sixth day of the Crown Prince Camel Festival 2026, held in Taif, where the day’s competitions witnessed strong participation from owners and trainers across the Gulf, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The coronation ceremony, which took place at the festival’s main field, included the distribution of trophies and cash prizes to the winners of the various rounds, as the “Al-Liqaya” category is one of the most prominent categories in the festival, attracting a large number of elite camels that competed over the past days in a distinguished sporting atmosphere.
This comes as the festival continues its activities until September 13, featuring more than 1,600 Saudi-bred camels competing in various categories, with total prizes exceeding 50 million riyals, in addition to accompanying events that highlight the cultural and social heritage of camel racing.
