The Taif Forum on Camels in Heritage and Media 2026, running alongside the Crown Prince Camel Festival 2026, will commence its dialogue sessions on Saturday at the Eridium Taif Hotel theater, drawing academics, intellectuals, media professionals, and camel sector enthusiasts, as reported by Al Bilad newspaper.
The first day features three sessions addressing the historical, literary, and social dimensions of camels, alongside their ties to modern technology and youth digital content creation. The opening session at 7:00 PM, titled "Camels in Cultural Consciousness and Arabic Poetry," will be moderated by Marzouq Al-Khamali, with participation from Dr. Talal Al-Thaqafi (Taif University), Dr. Saud Al-Saedi (Umm Al-Qura University), and Dr. Mohammed Al-Omari (King Khalid University), exploring camels' historical continuity and creative symbolism in Arabic literature.
The second session at 8:00 PM, "Camels and Society," moderated by Khuloud Al-Otaibi, examines camels' social standing and role in reinforcing values and identity, with speakers including Dr. Samira Al-Kanani, Dr. Ali Al-Hazmi, Al-Batoul Baroum, and Khalf Al-Qurashi, discussing how education, translation, and media transmit this heritage globally.
The final session at 9:00 PM, "Youth and New Media," moderated by Nahed Al-Ahmad, features Dr. Attia Hadadi, Jamil Al-Harthi, Rawabi Al-Harthi, and Manal Al-Sulaimi, focusing on digital transformations and empowerment opportunities for youth in content creation related to camel heritage.
