The General Directorate of Border Guard is presenting a mobile thermal surveillance system within the Ministry of Interior pavilion at the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026, held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham and organized by the Saudi Falcons Club, where the system is being displayed as part of the directorate's efforts to highlight the modern technologies and systems it employs in its security missions.
The mobile thermal system captures imagery via infrared to detect targets, while a laser rangefinder determines their coordinates, enabling border personnel to conduct surveillance and reconnaissance operations across rugged terrain and to counter infiltrators and smugglers in areas that are difficult to monitor through conventional means, thereby reinforcing the security of the Kingdom's borders.
The directorate said the participation aims to showcase the modern technologies and systems used in carrying out its security tasks and their role in enhancing field capabilities and protecting the Kingdom's borders, according to what was reported by Ajel.
The display comes amid a wide presence of security and military agencies at the exhibition, where the Ministry of Interior pavilion brings together several sectors and directorates to present their services and equipment to visitors, alongside a program that includes military shows, live experiences and heritage activities extending until October 10.
