Dr. Ghazai Al-Thubaiti, Regional Director for the Central Region at Magrabi Health, delivered a spotlight address titled "The Future of Specialized Healthcare and the Importance of Centers of Excellence in the Saudi Healthcare Sector", in which he traced the shifts reshaping specialized care in the Kingdom and outlined how Centers of Excellence raise service quality and keep pace with changing patient expectations.
Al-Thubaiti described the ongoing overhaul of Saudi healthcare as an opening to deepen specialized offerings, widen access to high-quality treatment, improve the patient journey and speed up the uptake of technology and innovation, while stressing that private operators carry a major share of that effort through investment in specialized capacity, the development of medical talent, the deployment of advanced tools and the extension of specialized services to more parts of the Kingdom.
Magrabi Health operates across four core specialties: ophthalmology, ENT, dentistry and dermatology, and it continues to expand in the Central Region to meet rising demand, bring specialized expertise closer to patients and integrate the patient journey around quality and experience, with medical talent remaining a central pillar as the group recruits and retains skilled professionals and supports their continuous development.
Among its milestones in 2026, the group received the "Network of Excellence in Ophthalmology" accreditation from the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), opened two aesthetics clinics in Riyadh under the Mayam Aesthetics brand and upgraded and unified its digital medical record system across Saudi Arabia. In 2027, it plans to open new branches in Al Marwah in Jeddah and in Madinah, along with a standalone center in Al Narjis, Riyadh, as part of a wider transformation in the Kingdom's health sector supported by Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program.
