Al-Harf Crafts Forum

About the event
Arsh Al-Harf Forum is the second edition of the Alwan Al-Baha exhibition, held under the title "Alwan Al-Baha II — Arabic Calligraphy Arts" under the patronage of HRH Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Baha Region, and organised by Dar Awdah, the heritage landmark in Al-Atawlah.
The forum brings together leading calligraphers from inside and outside Saudi Arabia and presents selected works representing several schools and styles of Arabic calligraphy.
The programme runs across six tracks: the main exhibition, interactive corners teaching calligraphy to children and young people, applied workshops on writing techniques and on combining calligraphy with fine art and digital media, cultural evenings on the history of calligraphic schools and their role in the creative economy, a writing market selling artworks and specialist tools and publications, and correction sessions with master calligraphers.
